We are so grateful for the support our two children received from Sophia!
She built an immediate rapport with both of them and made therapy something they genuinely looked forward to. She is an excellent SLP – she is warm, engaging, and incredibly skilled. We especially appreciated her honesty and thoughtfulness in communicating their progress and knowing when they were ready to graduate from services. We highly recommend her! – Y.F.

Sophia Morton, MS, CCC-SLP is a New York State certified speech-language pathologist and a graduate of Columbia University’s Teachers College. With over 25 years of experience across Early Intervention, public school districts, private schools, and clinical settings in Northern Westchester, she brings a depth of knowledge and a breadth of experience that few practitioners can offer. She is PROMPT trained, certified in the Kaufman Apraxia technique, and grounds her literacy work in the Science of Reading. Her specialties include speech sound disorders, apraxia, receptive and expressive language disorders, pragmatic language, gestalt language processing, and literacy — serving children from Early Intervention through high school, in person, at home, and virtually.

Sophia’s approach is whole-child, strength-based, and deeply personal. She believes that when a child feels genuinely seen and heard, that is when real communication — and real progress — begins. As a mother of three who grew up right here in Northern Westchester, she knows these schools, these communities, and these families not just as a clinician but as a parent. That dual perspective shapes everything about the way she works. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll find her running trails or spending as much time in nature as possible — which probably explains why her sessions tend to feel more like an adventure than an appointment.
